1. FDA announces Pet Food Recall

    May 18, 2012 by Administrator

The Lake Veterinary Hospital is here to make sure your pet stays safe. The FDA has announced that there has been a pet food recall in 39 states so far this year. The brand under the recall is Diamond Pet Foods. Diamond Pet Foods is responsible for such brands as Kirkland, premium Edge and Diamond Naturals. All food manufactured from December 2011 to April 2012 is being recalled because traces of salmonella were found in batches of the company’s dry food. While no cases of pets affected by this outbreak have yet been reported, it’s important to be on the lookout for signs of contamination. If you think your pet has been made sick by their food, call us at The Lake Veterinary Hospital to ensure your pet stays healthy.
