Emily Lin, D.V.M.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned my DVM from Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. I enthusiastically joined The
Lake Veterinary Hospital in 2007. I am so delighted to be a part of
such a wonderful team, all dedicated to the care of our patients. We
are a family here at Lake and I am struck everyday with the incredible
dedication and heart that our team brings to the table. I enjoy my
daily interactions with my clients and patients and treasure the power
of the human-animal bond. My day is successful if I can improve my
patients' health, enhance their well being and the quality of their
lives.
My philosophy is to provide my clients with good information and choices about their pets' health to come up with a plan together and decide on the best approach to take. I believe that developing a relationship with an open dialogue with my clients helps me improve the quality of care that I can provide for their pets. I am owned by my cat Poppi, who is my alarm clock and who occasionally comes to work with me. No lunch is safe when Poppi is on the prowl. Poppi is also very environmentally conscious as he prefers to use a toilet over a litterbox.
When I'm not at Lake, I enjoy sewing, crafting, and all
things DIY. My husband Steve thinks I'm going to be known as that
person who no one wants to get a gift from because it will end up
looking like something I didn't intend. For example, Recipient: "Oh
thank you so much for the ....hat." Me: "No it's actually a coffee
maker cozy." This is what he fears. So what if I made a Christmas
wreath last year with a dove which he mistook for a teapot.
